Use: While wearing the doppelganger face, a creature may spend 1 minute visualising a humanoid that the doppelganger has shapeshifted into within the past 24 hours. At the end of that minute, the face mask fuses with the wearer, causing their head to shapeshift into a perfect replica of the visualised humanoid along with their voice.

Nothing else about the wearer's body changes however. After 24 hours, the mask seperates from the wearer, transforming them back into their regular form. The mask then deteriorates into a useless sheet of skin. Helm of Brain Careful dissection of their brain can yield dark lobes that may be used by an gp Telepathy artificer to create a helmet with similar telepathic abilities.

Not only is this an affront to all that is natural, it wastes a perfectly good dragon carcass. More than once have I downed a mighty dragon, only to find my assistants were draconic cultists who immediately stole my prize out from under me by lobbing a spirit gem at it. But the rewards are great. Almost every part of these magical creatures are useful in some way, whether it be for crafting, spellwork, or just a culinary delight. Still, it is important to note that the older and larger a dragon is, the more valuable the game. The harvesting tables below outline the different types, quantities, and qualities of parts that can be harvested from dragons at different stages of their lives. When noting down the parts harvested, it is important to note which age bracket of the dragon being harvested, as the value of the part and its utility in crafting varies wildly between age groups.

Instead, [Type] is used as a stand-in. This is important, as different dragons are aligned with different damage types and resistances, which will ultimately change the nature of items crafted from that part.

Some crafted items will have differing levels of power depending on what age group the dragon it was crafted from belonged in. The crafted item will specify in its description when such a distinction makes a difference. Flesh magical benefit. It does however contain many culinary benefits. Longer than a full grown human's arm, constant Arrow or [Type] Tooth exposure to the dragon's breath attack has infused them with a Dragon Bolt x15 modicum of elemental power.

A master fletcher can craft a special set of arrows from these teeth, still carrying their original elemental charge. Dragon Bone Dragon Not many weaponsmiths know how to reshape dragon bone, and those Weapon Bone x6 that do, keep it a guarded secret most likely to avoid the ire of paranoid dragons. However, there is a good reason that myths and legends of heroes carrying dragonbone weapons abound in every culture: anyone who has seen one will agree that they simply have no equal.

Harder than steel yet 4, 45 lb [Type] Dragon Dragon surprisingly light, it is the dream of every armoursmith to craft a suit gp Scale Mail Scales from this legendary material. Any target within 15 feet of the explosion must roll a saving throw or suffer the effects of the primary breath weapon that the pouch was harvested from. I just bought all 3 of them and I can't wait to finally have answers for my players expectations to loot every godamn creature on this plane :D I wanted to ask though, if there is like a high quality print version for printing in a shop or so?

I really love having DND books to browse through but most shops or online providers require pdfs with some buffer space on the sides of the pages and i feel that white borders would not do these great books justice. Do you plan to continue this series with newer books like the new ravenloft book? Hopefully one day I'll compile things into a compendium with all the monsters that didnt appear in a main monster book, but its probably quite a ways away unfortunately.

Hey, I've made great useage of the books during the campaigns that I run, and am going to be playing a Harvester character myself in a friend's campaign, but I've got a question.

In the section of the material that lists the weight, is that the total weight of all of the units of the material put together?

Or is it the weight per unit? Hey thanks for the support! If an item has a specific number like x3 or x4 then the weight is per unit. Awesome, thanks for the info. One more thing: would Hamund's Harvesting Hands be able to harvest materials that need spirit paper? Or would you have to make the Wisdom Religion check seperately still? Wait, so does that mean that the Plane Blocking Ichor from the Astral Dreadnought weighs 5, lbs per gallon? Or is is 5, lbs for all of it together, adding up to 10 lbs per gallon which makes more sense, but doesn't seem to fit what you explained?

I just discovered these books and adored Volume 1 so much I immediately bought 2 and 3. I can't wait to dig in! If you read my reviews regularly, you know I appreciate an aesthetic AND functional layout. This has it all. Hyperlinked table of contents, for starters. Even in the printer-friendly version.

This guide covers every unique monster from the MM but treats each monster uniquely. Some harvested items are worth only a handful of coppers while others are worth tens of thousands of gold pieces.

This guide also implements good ability checks and DCs. There are also six crafter types: alchemist, artificer, blacksmith, leatherworker, tinker, and thaumaturge. One could make a comfortable living crafting things for sensible stewards, no? The most astute among you probably probably wondered about that Cloak of Dragonflight I mentioned earlier. Couple this all with a new background, proficiency, feat, and special tools and you realize that the design is thorough and creates a lot of opportunity for an enriched game involving harvesting and crafting.

Between its approach to appraising and harvesting, the harvest tables, crafting rules, craftable items including a reference to already published items , and the character options, this Handbook is the definitive resource on harvesting and crafting in 5E. Be sure you check this one out!

I only regret that there is no print-on-demand copy for this book. While I do wonder how different playgroups would react to a character getting very involved in crafting and spending in game time with it. Especially since we have some npcs who could help out. Thanks for the review! I could see them making the appropriate checks after a battle similar to how you might loot the body heh…literally now and perhaps do the crafting in between sessions or if there is other downtime where it might be appropriate without bogging down the story.

Great feedback, Mike! These poor defenseless creatures should not be eaten. Like the idea, but DMs should be careful in how they use it so players feel that they are each getting fair treatment. I think the potential for misusing this product is minimal. Thanks for reading, Benjamin! I remember a book like this back in the Palladium days, and I always loved it!!! Why would anyone let that delicious dragon burgers go to waste? Love the idea of this book, not above trying my hand at binding my own hardcover.

I mean…sure, bugs and microorganisms gotta eat too. Thanks for reading, Rob! Great work! Welcome to the fold, John! Your life is about to change for the good. Thanks for reading, Rusty! I love the content and the impetus. My own campaign has had to deal with some of these topics from time to time. Perhaps we could encourage one?

Jeffrey reads these comments so hearing that there is interest in a POD version lets him know there is interest. DMs Guild decides those candidates.

However, creators and reviewers can encourage the Guild to consider print versions through valuable feedback such as yours. Thanks, CesiumKitty! My pleasure, Kieriko! Would love a copy of it. You could easily allow that desire to weave into your campaign and be consequential. An NPC could have a need for a particular crafted item. Thanks, Nick! Thanks for reading, Iain. I love this idea and wish my DM gave more downtime for this kind of thing.

I love content like this keep up the good work. Anthony, would your DM allow harvest checks after a battle and then allow you to craft in between sessions? Or if you ever play solo you could make use of this. Thanks for reading! Awesome, Nicky! Please come back and share some details on how it goes. I love to hear it, Violet! Please come back and share how it works out. It certainly will, Alicia! Oh man, I have a member of my party who needs this so bad!

This might actually get him to do something with them before they go bad! That is brilliant! I love that so much. Thanks for reading, Jenni. I think this is going to be a great resource. I can see this being useful for weaving great storytelling and plot hooks into the game.

I also can see my players getting into harvesting their foes for food and useful parts. How about its heart?
